Military Base

This project was created in my second year at college and was my first game project and the second time I'd used a game engine. The idea of the game was infiltrate the military base using a C4 to blow up the wall and turn off the automated turret mounted outside.

This was the first time I had ever tried any scripting but with kismet and some unreal code I managed to get the game mechanics working which was a great feat. I also added wind simulation to all of the foliage so it looked like the wind was coming off of the sea and the grass in front of the fans would wave more.

While developing this project I was also learning all of the fundamentals of games design, how to model, texture and sculpt environments but considering this I believe this project came out extremely well.

The main model for the base was created by me using 3DS Max and Photoshop but the vehicles, trees and tools were downloaded from Turbo Squid  due to the short amount of time I had to learn the processes of games design. 

​
