Crime Scene

For this project we were tasked with digitally recreating a crime scene set up by the West Midlands Police Service. The scene needed to be interactive so it would pose useful within a presentation in court.

I believe the scene I've created is very detailed and realistic with the advanced texture work, modeling and lighting. The scene matches the original with precision and has a few extremely useful features. The first feature is any item of evidence can be picked up, span around and zoomed in on. This proves useful and helps put across the case dramatically, even little things like a dent in the beer can have been incorporated. The second feature is when an item is hovered over with the players cross hair an original photograph from the crime scene pops up to show the court exactly how the scene was on the day in relation to the re creation.

When receiving feedback for this assignment the West Midlands Police admired the great detail and the advanced features within the crime scene reconstruction expressing how useful a tool like this would be in the court of law.
